Point guard Jefry Arias (182-PG-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked GIE Cibao Immortals, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player got a double-double of 25 points and 10 assists, while his team crushed Santiago Max (#2, 3-2) with 20-point margin 120-100. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Immortals to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. Immortals have a solid 4-1 record. Arias turned to be Immortals' top player in his first season with the team. Jefry Arias has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 51.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Rich Polanco (203-F-1997) of Puerto Plata de Realeza. Polanco had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Puerto Plata was edged by LDC Ignite (3-3) 87-86. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Third on the list of top players last round was another Immortals' star - guard Ameth Gil (191-SG-1988). Gil showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was another key player of GIE Cibao Immortals, helping his team with a 120-100 easy win against #2 ranked Santiago Max in a game of the week. Immortals confirms their top position in the standings. Gil has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (4th best) and assists with 3.5apg (6th best).
